CNFans Puffer Jacket QC: Shape, Filling and Fit Checks
Puffer QC is about the pattern created by the padding. Look for an even visible shape, consistent quilting and closures that sit properly, while remembering that photos cannot prove warmth or long-term loft.
Check the quilted outline
A puffer's panels should follow the shape shown in the listing without an unexplained flat patch, severe bunching or a visibly uneven hem. Some variation comes from the jacket being folded or compressed for the photograph, so look for repeated evidence across more than one angle.
The overall outline also helps you understand the intended fit. A short, broad puffer behaves differently from a longer coat, even when both are labelled relaxed. Use the image to read the silhouette and the measurements to decide whether it works on you.
Filling and panel consistency
Look for large differences in the visible fullness of neighbouring panels, especially across the chest, shoulders and sleeves. A small change in puffiness can come from handling or lighting; a repeated empty-looking section is more useful as a question to raise.
Do not turn a still image into a claim about the material inside. You may be able to see whether the filling appears evenly distributed, but you cannot reliably establish exact composition, warmth, recovery or performance from a photo alone.
Closures, cuffs and hem
Inspect the zip or snaps along the front line and check whether the storm flap, collar and pockets appear aligned. Cuffs and hems should look attached evenly, particularly where elastic or drawcords are meant to hold heat in. A visible pull or twisted edge is worth noting.

Use QC beside product photos
Product images show the intended styling, while QC images may reveal the actual sample's shape and visible finish. Compare distinctive features such as quilting direction, pocket placement and collar height, but allow for different lighting and how the jacket has been arranged.

What a puffer photo cannot settle
A puffer image cannot prove exact warmth, water resistance, comfort, durability or how much room remains for your usual layers. It can help identify obvious visual concerns, but those wider performance questions need reliable product information and sensible expectations.
If the visible shape, construction and measurements make sense together, the QC check is useful. If a key panel is hidden or the image is too compressed to read, keep the decision open rather than awarding certainty that the photograph cannot provide.
